Quiltcon 2018

A few weeks ago, I had the flu. That translated into a lot of time in bed feeling awful. An upside was being unable to do more than look at my ipad for interesting things to read/see. I hadn't been sewing in months due to work commitments and my downtime gave me the much needed opportunity to reconnect with a lot of awesomeness out there: fabric designers, sewing machines, quilts, etc.

Quiltcon coincided with my recovery, and I have never been! So, here I went for a few hours during a break in my workday. What a feast for the soul. The quilts are tremendously creative and amazing. Beyond that - what a bunch of nice people. Quilters are just good all around!

I can't wait to use my goodies that I bought - I also have a new sewing machine (more on that later - so amazing).

Favorite new toys:

Olfa endurance blades - ok, seriously - these are supposed to last 2x as long as regular. I hope they do! Putting one in my #TulaPink Rotary cutter today.

Superior Thread - I didn't know about this thread. I do now. Loading it up!

Creative Grids rulers - These are my faves. Don't slip, easy to see. Love them.

Box of fabric from Super Buzzy - Did not need. Just wanted. Fantastic quilt kit for after when finish my confetti quilt with the incredible V and Co confetti ombre fabric.
